Cris Broshar

Cris joined Iowa State University in January 2019 as a WorkLife Specialist supporting both Child Care & Family Services and ISU WellBeing. She transitioned into the role of WorkLife & Family Services Coordinator in September 2020 and now serves as a source for information, services, referral, and consultation to ISU employees and students on a range of family-life issues. In addition, Cris oversees the federal Child Care Access Means Parents in School grant that annually provides nearly $200,000 in child care tuition grants to ISU student parents.

Prior to joining ISU, Cris most recently served as a Child Care Consultant for Child Care Resource & Referral, providing support to Story and Boone County child care providers. Cris earned a bachelor’s degree in Child, Adult & Family Services from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in Human Development & Family Studies, also from Iowa State.
